Principal Product Manager, Financials Products

Job Description

Job Description

The Opportunity

As a Principal Product Manager on our NetSuite ERP Financials team, you'll sit at the intersection of product strategy, technical complexity, and business impact. You won't just own a product area - you'll shape the direction of our entire financial solutions portfolio, working alongside executive leadership, engineering, and global stakeholders to drive initiatives that matter at scale.

This is a role for someone who thinks beyond the next release. You'll be setting the strategic roadmap, influencing how the organization prioritizes, and ensuring that the products we ship don't just meet market expectations - they define them.

Why Revenue Recognition Expertise Changes Everything

Let's be direct: if you have deep, hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite Revenue Recognition functionality, you are at the top of our list. This is one of the most complex, high-stakes areas in enterprise financial software. Revenue recognition isn't just a feature set - it's a regulatory and business-critical workflow that determines how companies report their financial performance. The candidates who understand this space intimately - who have built within it, navigated its edge cases, and seen how it plays out in real customer environments - are the ones who can lead here.

If you've worked within Revenue Recognition from a product perspective, that's exceptional. If you've also seen it from the other side - through solution consulting, professional services implementation, or direct customer engagement - that combination is extraordinarily rare, and it's exactly the kind of depth this role demands.

What You'll Drive

You'll own the strategic vision and execution for critical areas of our financial product portfolio, working closely with engineering leadership and business stakeholders to translate complex domain requirements into product roadmaps that are both bold and realistic. You'll define product specifications that address the most intricate accounting and compliance challenges our customers face - and you'll do it with a user-centric approach that keeps the end experience sharp and intuitive.

AI is central to where our products are heading, and at this level, you won't just be participating in that conversation - you'll be leading it. You'll work with data science and engineering teams to identify where AI and machine learning can fundamentally change the value we deliver, particularly within high-complexity financial workflows like revenue recognition, compliance automation, and financial reporting. You'll bring the domain depth to know where AI creates real value and the product instincts to turn that into something customers actually rely on.

The Power of Implementation and Consulting Experience

At the Principal level, product leadership requires a level of customer empathy and real-world grounding that only comes from direct experience. Candidates who have spent time in solution consulting or professional services implementation - particularly those who have deployed, configured, or supported NetSuite in enterprise client environments - bring an irreplaceable perspective to this role.

You've seen how financial systems break down under real-world complexity. You've watched customers struggle with workflows that looked clean on paper. You know the difference between a product that works in a demo and one that works in production. That experience doesn't just inform better product decisions - it accelerates them. And at this level of leadership, speed and precision are everything.

A Global Team, A Global Product

Our product organization spans the globe, and at the Principal level, that reach becomes part of your mandate. You'll collaborate with product leaders, engineers, and business stakeholders across multiple regions, ensuring that what we build is relevant, scalable, and competitive in markets around the world. You'll bring together diverse perspectives and translate them into a cohesive product vision that works at scale.

Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

You have five to seven years of product management experience in enterprise ERP platforms, with deep roots in accounting and financial domain knowledge. You don't just understand the domain - you've mastered it. You've navigated the full complexity of financial software, from regulatory compliance to multi-entity consolidation, and you know how to turn that complexity into products that are both powerful and usable.

Experience with Oracle NetSuite Revenue Recognition functionality is a critical differentiator for this role. If that's part of your background, it will move you to the front of the line - full stop.

Candidates with backgrounds in solution consulting or professional services implementation are strongly encouraged to apply. That customer-facing, hands-on experience is a defining strength at this level, and it's something our leadership team values enormously.

You're comfortable not just influencing but leading cross-functional conversations. You can align executive stakeholders, drive engineering priorities, and communicate product vision with clarity and conviction. You have deep experience working within Agile frameworks and know how to manage complexity without losing momentum.

You are passionate about AI and machine learning and have ideally already contributed to shipping AI-powered capabilities within an enterprise product. You're ready to push the boundaries of what's possible in financial software. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is expected, along with the demonstrated track record and domain depth described above.

What It Looks Like to Succeed Here

You'll define the future of financial software for an enterprise product used by businesses across the globe. You'll lead the charge on how AI transforms the most complex financial workflows in the industry. You'll be the person other product managers look to for direction - and you'll leave a lasting mark on a product that shapes how the world manages its finances. This isn't just a role. It's a platform.
