Job Overview:
APTIM is seeking an experienced and technically proficient Technical Analyst to support our environmental, health, safety, and sustainability (EHS&S) management information systems (EMIS) platform and client EHS applications. This role requires a unique blend of technical, software, systems, and strong data analysis capabilities to support software implementation projects for our clients.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
The Technical Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert, combining system administration responsibilities with client-facing project execution. Key responsibilities include:
Serve as the Technical Analyst for core EMIS platforms (e.g., Cority, Enablon, Intelex, Velocity) and integrate specialized data/metrics.
· Engage with cross-functional teams to elicit and document requirements from business stakeholders on systems and data needs.
· Research, innovate and optimize business processes by identifying challenges and proposing project solutions.
· Develop workflows and support configuration of enterprise solutions by project-specific requirements.
· Utilize Business Intelligence (BI) tools including Power BI or Tableau to analyze EHS&S data, specifically focusing on evaluating and controlling workplace hazards and identifying emerging risks.
· Support AI driven projects for clients and internal APTIM projects.
· Develop dashboards and reports that provide data-driven insights.
· Support solution design, system configuration, data migration, and quality assurance for client software implementations.
· Design and deliver training materials for both internal and client staff on system use and safe work practices.
· Support client user acceptance testing, debugging, and delivery of patches.
· Conduct software configuration migration from development and test platforms to production.
· Documentation of as-built system configuration management.
Basic Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field from an accredited program.
Experience: A minimum of 4+ years of experience in software support, programming, EHS or EMIS role, with a strong focus on software systems, programming, data analysis, and system management.
Certifications: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) certification is a plus.
Required Technical Skills:
Experience in data analysis with SQL, advanced Excel functionality, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.).
Programming experience in HTLM, .NET, C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, SQL, JSON, Rest API, XML, Python, CSS, or other programing language.
Prior experience as administrator of software or technical understanding of software administration, settings tables, APIs and databases.
Prior web and mobile application development and testing experience.
Foundational Knowledge of Data Modeling: Understanding how to structure relational databases for environmental reporting.
Data Cleaning/ETL Experience: Familiarity with the process of "Cleaning" messy field data (e.g., using Power Query or Python's Pandas library).
Technical Writing or Documentation: Ability to translate complex technical processes into user manuals or standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Exposure to Agile/Scrum: Understanding the lifecycle of software development (SDLC) to help with the "configuration of enterprise solutions" mentioned in the responsibilities.
Additional Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience in EHS&S software (e.g., Cority, Enablon, Intelex, Sphera, VelocityEHS, or other leading EHS platform).
Familiarity with ESG Frameworks: Basic knowledge of Sustainability reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, or GHG Protocol) as these often drive the "why" behind the data analytics.
Experience managing AWS, Google Cloud, Azure Cloud, or other cloud services is a plus.
SSO protocols, AI, Machine Learning, or other system administrator experience.
This is a hybrid role with the expectation of at least 3 days working in one of our APTIM offices. Work locations: Houston TX, Dallas TX, Baton Rouge LA, Lenexa KS, Denver CO, New York NY, Norfolk VA, San Diego CA, Tampa FL, or other APTIM office.
Travel & Language: Ability to travel up to 30%. Fluency in Spanish, French, or Arabic is a plus but not required.
Knowledge & Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication skills.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $80K - $90K per year. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
