PS IT Sr Digital Lead

This is a unique opportunity for a strategic leader to architect and drive customer-focused digital transformation across the Product Supply organization and DT IT Organizations.

  • Architect and steer the customer value-led, end to end strategy and execution of digital transformation across the Product Supply Organization. Short term priorities will be to delivery the CP Regional Portfolio, AI Strategy, and Sustainability, but the incumbent will flow to high value areas across the Seeds and Traits and CP Portfolios as needed.

  • Shape shared PS digital strategies and ensure shared capabilities meet regional business needs

  • Shape the AI narrative and prioritization process across our PS IT Community, including flowing to relevant high value use cases, establishing training and fluency programs, performing digital maturity assessments, and collaborating on product and data roadmaps.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, PS IT Senior Digital lead, are to:

  • Co-design and influence Product Supply digital strategy to achieve business outcomes; align business and IT needs into a cohesive strategy, leveraging technology and data science to drive innovation in operations. Deliver business objectives through multi-year launch plans with milestone-based implementation, managing interdependencies and risks for successful digital transformation.

  • Enable empowered funding, prioritization, and tradeoff decisions across digital roadmaps to ensure desired outcomes. Lead total cost of ownership (TCO) decisions and activate efficiencies through reuse of platform capabilities.

  • Develop strategies across IT functions (Infrastructure, Security, Enterprise Architecture, etc.) to deliver successful outcomes; ensure business continuity for Product Supply.

  • Partner with platform teams to ensure global availability of IT systems for all Product Supply areas.

  • Collaborate closely with Product Supply IT leads to deliver strategic and operational priorities across regions, ensuring integration that meets market needs.

  • Architect and align Product Supply IT strategies across regions, applying unified prioritization and enabling smooth resource flow through disciplined cycles. Enable cross-regional collaboration and knowledge sharing, creating forums for leads to exchange insights and strengthen a unified IT culture.

  • Foster transparency, accountability, and operational discipline, ensuring open communication, alignment, and continuous improvement in digital portfolio execution.

  • Steer portfolio governance and coach the Product Supply IT portfolio team, overseeing development and tracking of shared OKRs to maximize the value of digital investments

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant University degree in business, information science or equivalent

  • Crop Science business experience, preferably global and local

  • ?Understanding of information/digital technology, especially CS digital platforms

  • Demonstrated success developing and enacting complex strategies and initiatives to drive significant Business or IT impact

  • Ability to build strong trust, credibility and global networks across all levels in IT and Product Supply

  • Demonstrated experience working in a global environment and leveraging enterprise level thinking/decision making

  • Excellent inter-cultural understanding and experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and influencing skills with diverse stakeholder groups at multiple organizational levels

  • Strong financial acumen with ability to assess ROI and TCO to inform options

  • Proven track record of successfully coaching and mentoring team collaboration and accountability aligned to value

  • Ability to act as a catalyst to remove roadblocks to facilitate connectivity and collaboration

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $172,640.00 - $258,960.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
