Job Title: Quality TechnicianJob Description
As a Quality Technician, you will inspect incoming materials and parts from suppliers using visual and mechanical tools, review and verify First Article Inspection (FAI) from suppliers, and use both conventional and advanced inspection devices to verify dimensions to drawing specifications. You will be responsible for managing or helping manage the calibration program, participating in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings for disposition of non-compliant materials, maintaining records and data as required by the Quality Management System, and recommending improvements to the QMS database to enhance information availability for improvements.
Responsibilities
Inspect incoming materials and parts using visual and mechanical tools.
Review and verify First Article Inspection (FAI) from suppliers.
Use conventional and advanced inspection devices to verify dimensions to drawing specifications.
Manage or assist in managing the calibration program.
Participate in MRB meetings for disposition of non-compliant materials.
Maintain records, data, and related information as required by the Quality Management System.
Recommend improvements to the QMS database to better provide information for improvements.
Essential Skills
Proficient with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience with CMM inspection and instruments utilizing PC-DMIS.
Ability to set up inspection for intricate components with tight tolerances.
Able to interpret blueprints, schematics, and other design documents.
Proper handling of parts in Class 1,000 (ISO Class 6) cleanroom environment.
Proper handling of Electro-static sensitive (ESD) components.
Good organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems requirements.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Computer skills and knowledge of software tools for inspection data management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with calibration, CMM programming, and quality assurance.
Knowledge of creating standards for inspection and authoring quality reports.
Familiarity with editing engineering drawings and designs for GD&T.
Work Environment
You will be working in a Class 6 cleanroom environment. The position is currently based in Wakefield, with plans to move to a new site in Bedford. Some teams have started the move, and the entire site will be relocated by the end of Q1 at the latest.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wakefield, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00/hr.
