Tool Maker

Job Duties

We are looking to hire an experienced Tool & Fixture Maker to design, fabricate, repair, and improve tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and simple molds used in manufacturing. The ideal candidate for this role will work with CAD drawings, sketches, and models to build precision tools that meet tight tolerances. They will also have strong machining and fabrication skills, solid CAD/CAM experience, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.

Minimum Education Required

Post-secondary certificate or diploma in Tool & Die, Machining, or related field

Minimum Experience Required

• 5+ years of tool and fixture making experience in a manufacturing environment

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working to tight tolerances

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles preferred

• Forklift license or ability to become certified
