Description
The Executive Director, Education & Field Development is the strategic and operational leader responsible for shaping and executing Clinique's Education vision across the United States and Canada. This role oversees the full Education ecosystem from curriculum development and instructional design to field delivery and retailer/Consultant engagement; ensuring that every learning experience elevates brand expertise, drives skincare and makeup authority while fueling retail performance.
This leader will guide a high-performing team, partner cross functionally across the brand and region and champion several enterprise-level initiatives including Clinique's Multi-Ethnic Consumer strategy, Makeup Intensification efforts and Derm/Physician Services integration. The Executive Director plays a critical role in strengthening Clinique's position as the most trusted dermatologist developed beauty brand in North America.
Key Responsibilities
Education Strategy & Leadership
Lead the development and execution of Clinique's North America Education strategy, ensuring alignment with brand priorities, commercial objectives and evolving consumer expectations.
Oversee the end to end Education lifecycle from content creation to field deployment while ensuring consistency, innovation and measurable impact across the US and Canada.
Serve as the senior Education voice in cross functional forums, influencing brand, marketing, sales and retailer partners.
Team Leadership & Organizational Management
Directly lead the Education Development and Execution team, including:
Director, Curriculum & Field Development
Director, Education Development + Instructional Design
Manager, Retail Education & Consultant Engagement
Managers, Field Executive Education
Foster a culture of creativity, accountability and continuous improvement.
Develop talent, build capabilities and ensure the team is equipped to deliver best in class learning experiences.
Education Development & Execution
Oversee the creation of innovative, North America-centric curriculum across skincare, makeup, service and retail excellence.
Ensure instructional design leverages modern adultlearning principles, digital learning technologies and datadriven insights.
Lead the deployment of education programs across field teams, retailer partners and Consultants, ensuring consistent execution and high engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Initiatives & Brand Priorities
Lead key strategic initiatives including:
Multi-Ethinic Consumer Strategy with a lens on inclusive education evolution
Makeup intensification focusing on building skill in artistry
Derm + Physician Services with education integration
Additional brand or regional priorities, as assigned
Partner with global and regional stakeholders to ensure North America needs are represented and addressed.
Cross Functional Partnership & Retailer Collaboration
Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Development and Global Education to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
Strengthen retailer relationships by delivering tailored education strategies that drive brand differentiation and retail productivity.
Represent Education in strategic planning, seasonal execution and new product launches + commercial innovation.
Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement
Establish KPIs and measurement frameworks to evaluate education effectiveness and business impact.
Leverage insights, field feedback and performance data to refine programs and elevate the learning experience.
Ensure operational excellence across all education platforms, tools and processes.

Curriculum and instructional design are modernized, leveraging digital learning, data insights and inclusive education principles to meet the needs of today's Consultant and our consumers.
The Education Development and Execution teams operate as a highperforming, collaborative unit, with clear roles, strong communication and a culture of innovation and accountability.
Strategic initiatives show visible impact, including meaningful progress in MultiEthnic Consumer education, Makeup Intensification and Derm/Physician Services integration.
Retailer partners view Clinique as a bestinclass education collaborator, with tailored programs that strengthen brand differentiation and drive mutual business growth.
KPIs and measurement frameworks are embedded, enabling datadriven decisionmaking and continuous improvement across all education touchpoints.
Clinique's field teams feel supported, inspired and equipped, resulting in higher engagement, stronger brand advocacy and consistent delivery of the Clinique service experience.
The Executive Director is recognized as a strategic thought partner, influencing senior leadership and shaping the future of Education for the region.
Qualifications
15+ years of progressive experience in Education / Learning & Development within beauty, retail or related consumer industries.
Proven leadership experience managing multilayered teams and complex cross functional initiatives.
Expertise in curriculum development, instructional design and field education delivery.
Strong understanding of skincare, makeup and retail service environments.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic outcomes.
Passion for inclusive education, consumer centric learning and brand storytelling.
