Job Description Summary
Performs a variety of tasks, primarily in Custodial/Janitorial Services, related to maintaining the University’s facilities. Hours for this position are Sunday through Thursday 10pm to 6am.
Job Description
Essential Duties:
  • Sweep and mop rooms and hallways; dust and performs general cleaning of rooms; clean windows
  • Vacuum and shampoo carpets; may strip and wax floors; clean and sanitize restrooms
  • Pick up trash, debris and/or litter from university buildings and grounds; empties trash receptacles
  • Assist with maintaining safe indoor/outdoor surfaces, including during inclement weather
  • May assist with events
  • May pick up and/or deliver equipment and supplies
  • May perform cleaning/washing duties in dining areas
  • May assist with other related campus needs as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED
  • No experience required
  • May require driver’s license
  • This position requires the ability to successfully pass a Post-Offer Pre-Employment (POPES) physical
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of the use of cleaning equipment/materials
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
