The Move-In Coordinator is a part-time paraprofessional position within the Office of Student Housing, working up to 28 hours per week during the summer. This role is focused on supporting preparations for August move-in and ensuring a smooth and organized transition for incoming students.

Supervision:
- Assign and manage work tasks and schedules for student Move-In Assistants
- Onboard & train Move-In Assistants and develop training materials
- Coordinate communication with Move-In Assistants regarding move-in procedures and arrival details
- Assist with reviewing and verifying time and labor for Move-In Assistants
Administrative:
- Verify, organize, and distribute move-in signage in designated areas
- Review and manage inventory regarding move-in operations
- Attend planning meetings with staff to prepare for Move-In activities
Training:
- Design and develop training sessions for all Move-In Assistants.
- Support the facilitation and presentation of Move-In Assistant training
- Must be a full-time, enrolled student at BGSU (minimum of 12 credit hours)
- Must have lived in BGSU on-campus housing for at least two semesters
- Must have a cumulative and semester GPA of 2.5 or higher at the time of application
- Must not be on Residential or University disciplinary probation
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
- Must be available to work all scheduled Move-In dates
- With approval from Student Employment Services, the Office of Student Housing may authorize an increase in weekly hours to 32-40 hours during peak periods.

- This position’s start date is August 10, 2026, and ends on August 25, 2026
- The Move-In Coordinator will be provided on-campus housing during the period of employment at no cost to the employee until Sunday, August 16, 2026, at which point the employee will be required to move into their housing arrangement on or off campus for the Fall semester
- The Move-In Coordinator will also receive $100 Falcon Dollars to assist with meals.
- The Move-In Coordinator must be available for the entirety of the week of August 16-24, 2026
