Position Description:

J.B. Speed School of Engineering is seeking candidates for a temporary part-time (20 hrs/week) position in the Office of Career Development and Cooperative Education in the Speed School of Engineering. This position is responsible for coordination of Capstone projects and Global Track programs and execution of our Engineering Design and Innovation Showcase. The successful candidate will provide customer service as well as maintain relationships with faculty, staff, and organizations by facilitating industry engagement, managing large events, and coordinating logistics of Global Track experiences.

Essential Duties
  • Facilitate industry engagement related to Capstone projects
  • Handle end-to-end administration of capstone agreements
  • Coordinate with Capstone course instructors to review project proposals and ensure completion of milestones
  • Plan and execute Engineering Design and Innovation Showcase (EDIS) event for Capstone teams, mentors, faculty, and judges
  • Oversee marketing materials and request updates
  • Coordinate logistics of Global Track programs, specifically CEE 590 Peru Program, including international travel for students and faculty
  • Work with in-country non-profit organization
  • Generate reports related to Capstone, EDIS, and Global Track programs
  • Completing other related tasks and special projects as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Education, HR, Business Administration, Professional Administration, or related area
  • Customer service, employer outreach, event planning, and international programs experience.
  • Experience with using career services management platforms (e.g., Symplicity) and project management platforms (e.g., EduSourced)
  • Experience with study abroad and international service-learning programs
  • Knowledge of engineering careers, trends, and marketplace
  • Experience in customer service role with employers in engineering industries and developing new employer relationships to hire engineering students
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
