The Customer Service Representative is a pivotal team member responsible for delivering an outstanding in-branch customer experience by efficiently handling a variety of tasks, from accurate teller transactions and reconciling cash drawers to providing comprehensive account services. This multifaceted role also encompasses following established guidelines for processing new and existing accounts, IRAs, CDs, HSAs, and other deposit accounts. The Customer Service Representative actively contributes to the achievement of service standards, team goals, and individual targets while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Accurately process teller transactions and reconciling a cash drawer.
- Providing account services to customers.
- Follow the established guidelines and procedures while processing new and existing accounts, IRAs, CDs, HSAs, loan applications and all other basic
- Maintain all service standards as directed and encourage and help teammates as needed.
- Consistently meeting goals as identified by your manager.
- Determining customers’ needs through relationship banking and providing recommendations and/or referrals that are best suited for them using the relationship based sales process.
- Attending and participating in internal and external trainings.
- Maintaining customer confidentiality.
- Complying with bank operations and security procedures.
- Taking the initiative to turn reports in promptly.
- Provide these services at location assigned by supervisor, see schedule below for further details.
Schedule:
This is a coverage based position meaning that the hours of operations need to be fulfilled with appropriate coverage as assigned by the manager. Unpaid time off is typically not allowed per policy, therefore, accrued time off must be used when taking time off. Dependability and adaptability within the range of the shifts below is crucial for success in this position. Additionally, this is not a remote or hybrid based position.
Shifts:
- Monday - Saturday
- Saturdays are required at least twice per month at a Crawfordsville location
- Primary floating responsibilities will be assigned at New Ross, Ladoga, or Roachdale branches, though work may be performed at any of the HHSB Branch Locations or HHSB Success Center for coverage, meetings, or training periodically (mileage is paid for work related travel outside of normal commute to and from the New Ross branch).
- Shifts are to cover normal business hours. They include, but are not limited to:
- Monday - Friday: 8:45am - 1:15pm (may expand to 2:00pm with additional bank related tasks periodically, as assigned)
- Wednesday: Training, Meetings, or Coverage will be required 2-3 types per month extending a typical Wednesday schedule to 8:45am - 4:15pm on those days, as assigned.
- Saturday: 8:45am - 12:15pm
- Weekly Hours:
- Hours range between 23-29 hours per week.
High School diploma or equivalent
