Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Process Development Contractor with 3-5 years of experience in the medical device field. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and be proficient in authoring and executing various process validations including Test Method Validation (TMV), Inspection Method Validation (IMV), Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), Performance Qualification (PQ), and Product Performance Qualification (PPQ).

Responsibilities

  • Develop process specifications, acquire necessary equipment, and oversee its implementation.

  • Apply engineering principles, theories, concepts, practices, and techniques to analyze and solve problems.

  • Complete design of experiments, validation, testing, and data analysis for continuous improvement activities.

  • Present data to equipment teams and suggest new methods or materials for improving quality and efficiency.

  • Assess current equipment for process suitability and provide detailed plans for improvement.

  • Create and revise manufacturing documents, specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety instructions, validation protocols, risk assessments, and other technical documents.

  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to develop solutions and improvements in materials, equipment, and processes.

  • Participate in teams to ensure continual improvement, safety, and compliance.

  • Provide training and expertise in product processing, process development, tooling development, and validation.

  • Interact cross-functionally and with internal and external customers.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in the medical device industry.

  • Proficiency in process validation techniques such as TMV, IMV, IQ, OQ, PQ, and PPQ.

  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to apply them to solve complex problems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.

  • Experience in continuous improvement activities and data analysis.

  • Ability to create comprehensive technical documentation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Minnetonka, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $58.00/hr.
