Job Title: Software EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded systems within our products. This role involves working closely with hardware to develop software specifically for these devices. The ideal candidate will research, design, develop, test, debug, and modify software embedded within semiconductor Test and Inspection hardware.
Responsibilities
Design and develop embedded systems for our products.
Understand and integrate software with the hardware it will run on.
Research, design, develop, test, debug, and modify software for semiconductor Test and Inspection hardware.
Consult with engineers regarding hardware-software interfaces and development of PC applications to control sensors.
Debug and troubleshoot hardware and software, including PCBA during board bring-up, API, and SDK.
Document requirements and communication interfaces.
Develop and execute test plans and scripts to ensure software meets specifications and performance requirements.
Interface with users and potential customers to define system requirements and support product integration into customer systems.
Essential Skills
Proficient in C, C++, C#, and Python.
Experience programming FPGAs in VHDL and/or Motion Systems is advantageous.
Ability to read and program devices based on spec sheets and APIs.
Experience working with target devices on both Windows and Linux.
Ability to communicate and control both Electrical and Mechanical systems.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of RF is a plus.
Work Environment
The primary headquarters and manufacturing facility is located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This site serves as a core global center for the development, production, and support of Acoustic Micro Imaging (AMI) systems, which are used for non-destructive inspection of advanced electronic components. The role is open due to an influx of customer requests for new projects.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
