Office administrator - primary school

Job Description

We are looking for an office administrator to join our small busy team to assist with a variety of front of house reception, administration, first aid assistance, school enrolment and zoning. You will play a key roll in creating a welcoming, professional and organise school environment. The key qualities we are looking for include; – previous school experience – great team player – sound administrator – warm, friendly, helpful and polite demeanour – excellent and personal schools – the ability to multitask with a "can do" attitude and a willingness to step into other positions in the school if ever needed – strong organisation and workload management skills, including the ability to prioritise Work when necessary – proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Google Docs and School systems would be advantageous – first aid certificate – proven ability to work with and relate to children – empathy for an understanding of neurodiversity and additional needs within children – and understanding of working with diverse communities, cultures and second language speakers – a willingness to enact Te Titiri and an understanding of Te Ao Maori, and a willingness to use Te Reo Maori The hours available are (school term only): Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 3pm (includes 30 minute unpaid lunch break). Some flexibility for additional hours to cover absences as required and through the term breaks with pending enrolments. Starting date: As soon as possible by negotiation. Immediate start would be ideal. Remuneration is within the support staff collective agreement – Grade 1 to 3, depending on previous experience.
