Responsibilities:

As a Veterinary Assistant, requirements of this position include: good client
communication and phone skills, basic computer literacy, ability to multitask in a busy
environment, ability to lift 30 pound minimum, write legibly, dress professionally, show up on time for each shift, ability to administer injections, perform venipuncture, take vitals, restrain animals when necessary for examination or treatment, and providing treatments/medications as necessary.

Other responsibilities include: assisting veterinary technicians and veterinarians with anesthesia and lab work, cleaning/sterilizing kennels, operating rooms, exam rooms, etc., comforting/restraining patients, greeting customers, answering questions/phone calls, processing incoming patients, handling payments, updating files, patient charts, billing, and other various tasks as needed.
