Major Duties :

  • Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT systems architecture.
  • Acts as a resource for direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff. Monitors project schedules and costs.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication.
  • Handles the most complex IT architecture projects involving multiple disciplines or ambiguous IT architecture issues. Coordinates with users to determine requirements.
  • Monitors project schedules and costs.
  • Establishes and communicates common goal and direction for a team.
  • Leads others to solve complex problems.
  • Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions

Knowledge :

  • Specialized knowledge of systems architecture, excellent consultative skills, strong analytical ability and ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staff.
  • Strong analytical skills are needed to analyze and evaluate technical information and coordinate projects.
  • Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field

Experience :

  • Typically required ten years of experience.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.

Salary Range

$137,400 - 240,400 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
