Job Title: Software Engineer

Job Description

This role involves creating software embedded within the companies products, as well as the production test environments for these products. You will be involved in all phases of embedded software development, contributing to communication, navigation, and guidance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the lifecycle of software products, starting with planning and gathering software requirements.
  • Document software requirements and create software designs.
  • Write and integrate software code, primarily using C, into systems and hardware.
  • Develop software test cases and procedures.
  • Engage in significant documentation as part of meeting industry standards.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Proficiency in the C programming language.
  • 8+ years of experience in embedded software development.
  • Experience in regulated environments such as Aerospace, Automotive, Telecom, or Medical.
  • Knowledge of full software lifecycle development.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in the Aerospace industry and with DO-178 standards.
  • Familiarity with RTOS, Linux, and various operating systems.
  • Military product or military experience is advantageous.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
