The Inventory Analyst is responsible for reconciling finished goods inventory between our client and third-party warehouses, including quantities and statuses (Good/Blocked/QA). This role audits source documentation and EDI (electronic data interchange) transactions to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of inventory transaction posting.
The inventory team plays an integral role in product withdrawals, recalls, and track-and-trace efforts. Given that food safety is a high priority, the Inventory Analyst is a key player in the corporate QA hold process to ensure product safety. Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- Experience: 1+ year of business experience, including customer service.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to use analytical skills to solve complex problems and conduct audit analysis.
- Organization: Organizational skills and the ability to perform accountabilities within company policies and code of ethics.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for processing corporate holds of finished goods with third-party warehouses, ensuring product is secure and not available for customer shipments.
- Serves as the central point of contact for warehouses regarding product holds, including tracing product shipped to customers and communicating updates across all levels of the organization.
- Communicates hold requirements, confirms product holds, and provides instructions to warehouses regarding the disposition of hold product.
- Manages FDA holds and drives the timely release of inventory.
- Prioritizes safety issues immediately as they occur.
- Maintains inventory accuracy of third-party warehouses.
- Identifies and resolves inventory discrepancies between SAP and 3PL websites.
- Completes daily, weekly, and monthly inventory month-end reconciliations within appropriate timelines.
- Investigates and resolves orders that have not been shipped/received in the RPC system to ensure accurate and timely customer invoicing.
- Posts shipments, receipts, and adjustments in SAP.
- Resolves EDI errors and collaborates with the EDI team to identify and resolve system gaps.
- Audits electronic and manual warehouse transactional activities.
- Executes the disposition of hold and destroyed products within cost parameters and company guidelines (including documentation and departmental coordination).
- Provides track-and-trace reports to account for all cases produced within a given timeframe.
