Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is looking for an AI/RPA Specialist Intern to support our government customer.

Role Overview

This role supports Air Combat Command's AI acceleration mission. Working directly with our AI / RPA Solutions Architects and Senior AI/Data SMEs, you will prototype and transition AI/RPA workflows that deliver measurable operational impact in classified and unclassified environments. You will contribute to mission-critical efforts through rapid prototyping cycles informed by direct operator feedback.

Responsibilities:

Workflow Discovery & Prototyping

  • Support embedded teams to identify repetitive, data-intensive tasks suitable for automation.

  • Build functional prototypes in Python, UiPath, or Power Automate within sprint-based development cycles.

  • Document requirements directly with end-users who will operate the solution in daily mission execution.

AI Platform Integration

  • Support integration of enterprise AI tools into mission workflows.

  • Assist with prompt engineering, testing, and validation for GenAI use cases under the technical lead's direction.

  • Maintain solution documentation, including user guides, SOPs, and knowledge base articles for ACC's reference library.

Impact Documentation & Strategic Empowerment

  • Quantify time savings, error reduction, and throughput gains for each prototype.

  • Support reporting on utilization metrics, training completion rates, and adoption trends.

  • Contribute to assessments informing ACC leadership decisions on AI investment priorities.Training Support

  • Assist in developing training content covering AI fundamentals, ethical use, and platform operations.

  • Support hackathon facilitation and hands-on workshops alongside Mobile Training Teams deploying to Wings.

Qualifications

Required

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, AI/ML, or a related technical discipline.

  • Working proficiency in Python; exposure to at least one RPA platform.

  • Foundational understanding of data structures, ML concepts, and scripting for automation.

  • Available to work on-site at JBLE, Hampton, VA, or Chantilly, VA for most of the internship.

Preferred

  • Coursework or project experience in NLP, computer vision, or GenAI/LLM applications.

  • Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly for ML workload deployment.

  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based delivery.

  • Interest in defense, intelligence, or national security missions.

  • Relevant technical certifications.
