job summary:
A Supply Management Specialist is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Dubuque, IA area. This role focuses on sourcing, data analysis, and supplier performance management to ensure efficient procurement and process improvement for low-complexity commodities.

salary: $17.25 - 28.04 per hour

responsibilities:

  • Executes planning activities and supplier management tasks within defined frameworks.

  • Develops and enforces strategies and contracts for low-complexity commodities.

  • Performs data analysis, cost modeling, and spend analysis to support business cases.

  • Assists Strategic Sourcing with supplier validation and performance management.

  • Resolves invoice issues and complex queries from internal and external stakeholders.

  • Conducts quality tests, inspections, and gap analyses using independent judgment.

  • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement within existing operations.

  • Manages departmental databases and complex documents using advanced Microsoft Office skills.

  • Ensures all work adheres to organizational policies, regulatory codes, and safety standards.

  • Monitors supplier performance using the Achieving Excellence process.

  • Collaborates with supervisors to handle exceptions and high-level procedural issues.
