Supply chain specialist

Nawaz Properties Limited is an innovative property investment company committed to solving housing needs through smart densification. We are currently launching an exciting project to develop second dwellings and tiny houses within our existing residential property portfolio. We are looking for a highly organised supply chain specialist to lead the logistics and procurement for this rollout. The Role: As our Supply Chain Specialist , you will be the backbone of our tiny home expansion. Unlike traditional construction, this role requires navigating the complexities of installing high-quality, compact dwellings into already established residential environments. You will ensure that materials, prefabricated units, and contractors arrive on site at the perfect moment to minimize disruption to existing tenants while maximizing development speed. Key Responsibilities - Strategic Sourcing: Identify and negotiate with suppliers for tiny home units, sustainable building materials, and utility connection kits. - Complex Logistics: Plan and oversee the delivery of prefabricated homes into existing residential sites, managing constraints like narrow access, crane scheduling, and site safety. - Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, specialized tradespeople, and transport providers. - Inventory Control: Manage the "just-in-time" flow of materials to ensure multiple property sites remain on schedule without on-site congestion. - Compliance: Ensure all sourced components and logistics methods meet NZ Building Codes and local council regulations for secondary dwellings. Requirements - Experience: Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or construction procurement (experience with prefabricated or modular housing is a strong advantage).( Experience in contract management will be a strong advantage) - Education: Relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or Business (or equivalent industry experience). MBA or equivalent post graduate degree in management will be preferred. - Skills: - Strong negotiation skills to manage costs in a fluctuating market. - Exceptional spatial and logical planning skills for difficult site deliveries. - Proficiency in ERP or project management software. - Attributes: A problem-solver who can handle the unique challenges of "in-fill" development and maintain positive relations with existing residents during the build process. - Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management -Software: Experience with MS Excel & ERP systems will be an advantage.
