Regular Work Week: Monday through Friday

Hours of Work: Report to work 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday – Friday.

Wage: $17.75 per hour

Position is: Union – Grade 2

Full-time Hourly Bargaining Unit Current Employee holding position is:   
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of responsible clerical work involving processing and maintenance of departmental projects
with occasional supervision. The primary responsibility along with Account Clerk IV and Head account for
assisting the public, other county offices or co-workers at the counter or on the phone in a positive and
professional manner. Must be able to obtain information from the public, analyze the problem and provide
appropriate explanations. Has primary responsibility for communication with township assessors when it
comes to permits.

• Primary responsibility to wait on counter and answer phones along with all employees.
  • Assist with departmental mailings as well as verification and correction of returned mail.
  • Responsible for assisting Clerk IV & V with filing and scanning in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for entering permits.
  • Sends estimated equalized assessment values to taxing districts upon completion of the SA/E and B/R levels.
  • Handles low-income correspondence (Sent once a year).
  • Corresponds, maintains and files leases.
  • Corresponds, maintains and files model home applications.
  • Prepares Certificates of Error along with all employees.
  • Shredding of paperwork that can not be recycled because of personal information
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures




Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Above average competency with computers, calculators, fax machines, etc. and the ability to perform a variety
of new duties with limited instruction or assistance. A good knowledge of statutory and assessment related
regulations, preferred but not required. Basic skills in Word and Excel. Ability to maintain effective working
relationships with co-workers and supervisors. Must be able to maintain a positive attitude in negative
situations. Average or above math and English language skills are required.

• High school graduation or equivalent.
  • Experience in an office setting completing tasks, preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow direction and work independently
