Shipping/Receiving Coordinator I

The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator I is responsible for performing all duties related to inbound or outbound of shipments consisting of irreplaceable biological and production materials (research samples, products, etc.) as assigned, while maintaining appropriate temperature. The incumbent is accountable for performing all assigned tasks with full attention and accuracy to maintain the integrity of the material and the storage processes.
What You’ll Do
- Perform all functions methodically and in accordance with SOPs.
- Ensure all incoming shipments are stored in proper storage conditions.
- Verify all inbound shipments have arrived by checking inbound FedEx report and pre-alerts sent to receiving team.
- Maintain communication with Logistics Supervisor(s), Team Coordinator(s) and PM staff at all times, documenting any discrepancies with shipments received.
- Notify other Azenta Life Sciences departments of non-biological packages received as appropriate.
- Properly identify client, project, group, and storage temperature for all shipments incoming.
- Properly download all temperature loggers following the SOP.
- Ensure all applicable inbound and outbound documentation is scanned and filed appropriately.
- Prepare all outbound orders and shipments utilizing the Limfinity logistics module, FedEx system ensuring shipments are in accordance with IATA and DOT regulations and other U.S. or Foreign government regulatory groups.
- Assist Logistic Supervisor(s), Team coordinator(s), Senior Shipping and Receiving Coordinator(s), and Shipping and Receiving Coordinator II with company supply deliveries, as needed and in a timely manner.
What You Will Bring
- Minimum of an associate degree.
- OR HS Diploma +2 years of relevant work experience.
- OR at least 6 months of demonstrated competence in performance of biobanking activities and has no warnings or Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) within the last 6 months.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to read/understand/interpret basic correspondence, instructions, rules, procedures in English language.
- Ability to make decisions and judgements based on reasoning.
- Ability to perform tasks with care, is thorough and checks work for accuracy and completeness.
- Strong attention to detail for repetitive tasks.
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel, performing basic and intermediate functions.
Physical Requirements
- Reaching, lifting, bending.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Extended periods of standing or sitting.
- Right- and left-hand finger dexterity.
- Ability to discern colors or use of color correction glasses.
- Ability to work with refrigerants (e.g., dry ice and LNs) using proper PPE.
Your Working Conditions:
- Employee will be working on an area with potentially infectious materials.
- Employee will be responsible for maintaining a clean work environment and enforce and follow universal precautions for bloodborne pathogens when working in an area considered to be potentially contaminated.
- The position requires flexibility to report to either the Indianapolis or Plainfield facility based on business needs.

United States Base Compensation: $21.50
The posted pay range for this position is an estimate based on current market data and internal pay structure.
