Pay Rate: $28 – $32/hour
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to support payroll processing and timekeeping functions. This role is critical in ensuring accurate employee time records, payroll compliance, and timely payroll processing in a fast-paced environment.
Payroll Processing & Support
Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees
Assist with wage garnishments and payroll adjustments
Ensure accuracy of benefits deductions
Prepare payroll transfer reports and support audits
Timekeeping Administration
Review and process employee timesheets for accuracy and compliance
Monitor time entries, missed punches, and scheduling exceptions
Audit overtime, holiday pay, and shift differentials
Ensure timely supervisor approvals before payroll deadlines
Reconciliation & Issue Resolution
Investigate and resolve payroll and timekeeping discrepancies
Reconcile payroll adjustments and maintain supporting documentation
Leave & Attendance Tracking
Track employee leave (sick, vacation, FMLA, etc.)
Verify leave balances and apply appropriate codes
Update timekeeping systems based on employee status
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 1–2 years of payroll or timekeeping experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience with payroll systems (e.g., Oracle, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks)
Knowledge of payroll processes including garnishments and taxes
Experience supporting large employee populations
