Employer: SMBC Capital Markets, Inc.Job Title: Vice President, Equities Application Support (ref.# 6542)Job Location: 277 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10172 Duties: Manage equity trading applications through system architecture design, system integration and troubleshoot business critical issues using Python, FIX protocol, ULLink, real-time trading environment, high-performance messaging/middleware. Provide Global support and troubleshoot production related issues and perform checkouts. Utilize tools such as JIRA, Confluence review system design, gather requirements and investigate bugs and stability issues that affect the application performance and drive changes to mitigate errors. Debug systems and perform user acceptance testing and conduct quality assurance tests. Oversee customer support in relation to application outages, resolve technical problems and provide solutions for application automation. Hybrid remote work permitted. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience. Required skills: scripting languages: Bash or Python; operating systems: Linux and Windows; Fix Protocol; infrastructure, network protocols (TCP and UDP), middleware (message queues/brokers); order management and execution management systems; security and compliance in trading environment, including SEC, FINRA, and MiFID II.
