General Faculty

The Webb School, an independent day and boarding school for grades 6–12 in Bell Buckle, Tennessee, seeks exceptional educators who are passionate about teaching, learning, and student development across all disciplines.

We are looking for thoughtful, creative, and inspiring teachers who view teaching as both an intellectual craft and a relational practice. At Webb, educators mentor students on their learning journey by designing experiences that connect content to purpose—helping students make meaning, ask compelling questions, reflect on their thinking, and apply their learning in authentic and transferable ways.

Teaching & Learning at Webb

As a Webb educator, you will:

  • Design engaging, inquiry-driven learning experiences that move beyond content acquisition to deeper understanding and application.
  • Foster students’ abilities to think critically, collaborate effectively, and communicate clearly across disciplines.
  • Support students in becoming curious, reflective, and self-directed learners who take ownership of their growth.
  • Create a classroom culture that is inclusive, supportive, and intellectually vibrant, one that honors diverse perspectives and learning styles.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to strengthen curriculum, assessment, and instructional practice school-wide.

We value educators who believe that every content area is a powerful teaching opportunity—one that develops not only disciplinary knowledge, but also habits of mind such as ethical reasoning, creativity, resilience, and empathy.

Student Life & Community Engagement

Teaching at Webb extends beyond the classroom. Faculty members are deeply involved in the life of the school and are committed to mentoring students in multiple contexts. Opportunities may include:

  • Coaching or supporting athletic programs
  • Participating in residential life through dorm affiliation or programming
  • Advising students and building strong relationships within our close-knit community
  • Sponsoring an afternoon activity or club

These experiences enable faculty to get to know students well and support their academic, social, and personal growth.

To apply, please send a resume and cover letter to employment@webbschool.com, including your name and the title of your position of interest in the subject line.
