Position Summary
The Underwriting Operations Associate provides technical underwriting support involving rating, policy issuance, and endorsement processing for routine to moderately complex transactions. This role partners closely with underwriters and agents to ensure accurate policy administration, timely processing, and compliance with underwriting guidelines and procedures.
What will your job entail?
Key Responsibilities
- Provide rating, policy issuance, and technical support for underwriting transactions
- Review credit information and identify additional documentation required for processing
- Respond to agent inquiries regarding risk eligibility, underwriting guidelines, and policy requirements
- Process and issue mid‑term premium and non‑premium endorsements
- Support primary lead processing and assist with administrative underwriting tasks
- Ensure accurate and complete collection of customer financial and underwriting information
- Analyze customer operations and financial data to assess creditworthiness
- Participate in transaction due diligence and support credit approval processes
- Collaborate with managers and internal teams on integrated underwriting strategies and system development initiatives
- Conduct field research related to prospective investments and underwriting activity
- Maintain a strong understanding of underwriting procedures, concepts, and policy compliance standards
Work Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Risk Management, Business, or a related discipline
- Equivalent relevant experience will be considered
- Minimum of 6 months of related experience in underwriting, insurance operations, or a similar role

The target salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
