MACHINE TOOL TECHNOLOGY/MACHINIST INSTRUCTOR Unlimited Full-Time

Start date: August 17, 2026

Minnesota North College-Itasca Campus, The Forge location, is seeking an unlimited, full-time Machine Tool Technology/Machinist instructor who is committed to excellence in teaching and learning; using active and experiential learning strategies; creating a student-centered environment; commitment to teaching students with a wide variety of backgrounds and working collaboratively with colleagues to create a successful student-learning environment.

Position duties include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to move/transfer 50 pounds or more.
  • Instruct courses including CNC Fundamentals, Fabrication, Assembly and Production Line, Introduction to SolidWorks, and Introduction to Mechatronics.

Work Location: Minnesota North College – Itasca Campus, The Forge location.

Salary Range: $52,586 - $73,690/annually

This salary range is for initial placement only. If currently teaching within Minnesota State, current salary will remain the same.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education Requirement

  • Two year diploma in machine tool technology/machinist.

Occupational Experience Requirement

  • Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in machine setup, programming, troubleshooting and operation of both manual and CNC equipment

Recency Requirement

  • One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Teaching and Learning Competency Requirement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience with a diverse learner population.
  • A commitment to cultural diversity and inclusive teaching.
