CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client is seeking a Buyer III to manage procurement of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and supplier performance.

Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred (Technical field preferred, but not required), or Associate's Degree required with relevant experience
DOD/ITAR Compliant Required - This is an ITAR facility. DOD compliance requires US Citizens for this role.
What You'll Do:
Execute purchasing activities including order placement, MRP management, and supplier communications
Lead supplier negotiations and contract administration
Manage supplier relationships, audits, and performance metrics
Support inventory optimization, cost reduction initiatives, and process improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality, materials, and planning
Key Skills & Tools:
Hands-on buying experience in manufacturing or corporate environments
SAP experience required
Strong negotiation, contract management, and cost analysis skills
Knowledge of supply chain, inventory management, and GSM processes
Ability to work in matrix/cross-functional teams
Qualifications:
5+ years as a plant or corporate buyer
Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's preferred
Experience with manufacturing operations, planning, quality, or engineering
Certifications (C.P.M., CPSM, APICS, Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt) a plus
