We have an exciting leadership opportunity to join our well established centre, where you can use your skills and experience to lead a passionate team and support the continued success and growth of the centre. We are seeking a capable and values driven leader with strong operational skills and an understanding of financials and occupancy management. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing people leadership with practical centre operations and who is committed to high quality early childhood education. About the Role – Kōrero mō te Tūranga As Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day operations of the centre. You will ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for tamariki, while meeting all regulatory and organisational requirements. Key responsibilities include: * Providing strong, visible leadership to the centre team * Overseeing centre administration, enrolments, and occupancy * Managing staffing, rosters, performance, and professional development * Ensuring compliance with current ECE regulations, ERO expectations, and Licensing Criteria * Leading and supporting high-quality teaching practice in line with Te Whāriki * Building positive relationships with whānau, staff, and the wider community * Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and well-presented learning environment This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, working on a roster between 7.00am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. The role is counted in ratio and includes allocated weekly non-contact administration time. This centre also has a dedicated Centre Administrator that will work alongside you to assist with Administration matters. Our Organisation – Mō Mātou Educare Bream Bay in the Ruakākā town centre is a coastal centre with one whare split in two for Nga Pepe (under two-year-old pepe) and Nga Kiwi (over two-year-old tamariki). About You – Mōu We are looking for an experienced and passionate ECE Leader who enjoys building relationships, leading teams and maintaining high standards across all areas of the centre.
