Home Care Administrator

Job Description

A growing home care agency based in the Southfield area of the Detroit Metro region is seeking an experienced Administrator / Care Coordinator to manage daily operations, client intake, caregiver staffing, and ongoing client support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in home care, including working with the Home Help Program, MCOs/HMOs, HHAeXchange, and actively contributing to new client growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage caregiver schedules and coordinate client services using HHAeXchange
  • Oversee client intake, including onboarding, assessments, and service setup
  • Actively assist in new client acquisition, including outreach, follow-ups, and converting inquiries into active cases
  • Work with the Home Help Program to ensure compliance and proper service authorization
  • Coordinate with MCOs/HMOs to verify eligibility, obtain authorizations, and maintain accurate records
  • Maintain all documentation in compliance with state and agency requirements
  • Lead caregiver recruitment efforts, including job fairs, interviews, and hiring support
  • Conduct caregiver onboarding, including orientation and ensuring completion of required training
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-up with caregivers to ensure quality care delivery
  • Ensure smooth daily operations and high standards of customer service

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in home care (required)
  • Experience with the Home Help Program, MCOs/HMOs, and HHAeXchange (HHAeXchange) strongly preferred
  • Experience with client intake and new client acquisition/outreach preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with computer systems and office software
