Position Summary:
We are seeking a Resident Project Representative (RPR) to oversee construction activities on civil engineering projects. The RPR will act as the firm’s on-site representative, ensuring projects are built in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards while serving as a key liaison between contractors, clients, and the design team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site construction observation and documentation for civil engineering projects
  • Monitor contractor activities for compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements
  • Track project progress, quantities, and schedule adherence
  • Prepare daily reports, field logs, and progress documentation
  • Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and clients to resolve field issues
  • Observe and document construction materials testing and inspection activities
  • Assist with pay applications, change orders, and project closeout documentation
  • Promote job site safety and ensure adherence to safety standards

Qualifications:

  • Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in construction observation, inspection, or civil construction
  • Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and standard practices
  • Experience with DOT, municipal, or infrastructure projects preferred
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a field environment

Certifications (Preferred but not required):

  • Construction inspection certifications (ACI, NICET, DOT, etc.)
  • OSHA safety training

Work Environment:

  • Primarily field-based with exposure to outdoor conditions
  • Travel to project sites required
  • Occasional office coordination work
