Position Summary:
We are seeking a Resident Project Representative (RPR) to oversee construction activities on civil engineering projects. The RPR will act as the firm’s on-site representative, ensuring projects are built in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards while serving as a key liaison between contractors, clients, and the design team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site construction observation and documentation for civil engineering projects
- Monitor contractor activities for compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements
- Track project progress, quantities, and schedule adherence
- Prepare daily reports, field logs, and progress documentation
- Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and clients to resolve field issues
- Observe and document construction materials testing and inspection activities
- Assist with pay applications, change orders, and project closeout documentation
- Promote job site safety and ensure adherence to safety standards
Qualifications:
- Construction Management, or related field preferred
- 1+ years of experience in construction observation, inspection, or civil construction
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and standard practices
- Experience with DOT, municipal, or infrastructure projects preferred
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a field environment
Certifications (Preferred but not required):
- Construction inspection certifications (ACI, NICET, DOT, etc.)
- OSHA safety training
Work Environment:
- Primarily field-based with exposure to outdoor conditions
- Travel to project sites required
- Occasional office coordination work
