Now Hiring: Village Deputy Clerk-Treasurer
The Village of Greene is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to serve as Deputy Clerk-Treasurer. This key administrative role is responsible for assisting in the managing of village records, overseeing financial operations, and supporting the day-to-day functions of local government.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain official village records, documents, and meeting minutes
· Manage accounts payable/receivable and prepare financial reports
· Assist Clerk Treasurer with budget preparation and financial planning
· Coordinate village elections
· Assist in preparation of board meetings and at board and budget meetings
· Provide support to the Clerk Treasurer, Mayor and Village Board
· Process weekly payroll, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports. 1099’s and W-2’s
· Assist in process of Waterline Project reporting and vendor payments
· All aspects of proper record keeping and filing
· Attend Webinars and conferences
Qualifications:
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or municipal administration preferred
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets and financial software
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits package available.
