Operations Support Specialist

Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for adhering to a production schedule; ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned, and secured based on designs associated with a wide range of industries, including but not limited to automotive, industrial, defense, aerospace, energy, and consumer products; and ensuring that quality and safety standards are always met. Responsibilities include:

  • Interpret and follow product schematics and assembly instructions with accuracy.
  • Participate in product development meetings, offering valuable input.
  • Verify dimensions and product specifications to maintain quality standards.
  • Tracking the receipt of parts and materials
  • Prepare and stage materials by marking cutting lines, building templates, and jigs.
  • Maintain production schedules and meet deadlines
  • Testing products for their functionality
  • Perform final assembly of equipment, fixtures, and machines
  • Apply protective coatings, such as painting, to metal frames and structures.
  • Transport of material and equipment to vendors and clients as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all assembly safety standards

  • Contribute to continuous improvement by offering suggestions for manufacturing process enhancements.
  • Drive product quality through meticulous assembly and attention to detail.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through your knowledge of manufacturing procedures.

Autonomy:

  • Works under the supervision of the Operations Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Physical stamina and dexterity, including the ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, reach, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience or equivalent vocational training.
  • 1+ years of experience in fabrication, assembly, or machining or equivalent vocational training.
  • Proficient mathematical skills (using basic geometry and algebra)
  • Familiar with shop measurement tools (calipers, gauge tools, etc.)
  • Competent with hand tools and power tools
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to drive, load, and unload heavy-duty pickup truck with large trailer.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Vocational school training and certificates
  • Experience with Bridgeport Mill, drill press, bandsaw, chop saw, hand drills, assembly jigs, welding.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and cross-functional teams

Compensation:

Full time – Total compensation will include a competitive hourly wage and bonus opportunity; hourly wage will be determined commensurate with experience. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in company benefits plan (group medical, retirement, and life insurance).

Part time/Seasonal – Competitive hourly wage and opportunity to participate in KTM Solutions simple IRA saving plan.

THE COMPANY:

KTM utilizes a staff of registered mechanical engineers (PE) that are qualified in the design and analysis of advanced machines, fixtures, lifting systems, and mechanical structures. We design and analyze for sufficient strength, optimal mechanical performance, and safety in accordance with industry standards and governmental regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
