Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Schedule: Night Shift | 40 Hours/Week
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Facilities Technician to support the maintenance and operation of building systems in a healthcare or industrial environment. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting facility issues, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
- Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, potential failures, and safety concerns
- Complete basic repairs including lighting, minor leaks, filter changes, and equipment adjustments
- Assist in monitoring building automation systems and report any alarms or irregularities
- Respond promptly to maintenance work orders to minimize operational disruptions
- Troubleshoot and resolve routine facility issues; escalate complex problems as needed
- Participate in emergency response procedures and after-hours on-call rotation if required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical rooms, maintenance areas, and storage spaces
- Perform general facility upkeep including minor carpentry, painting, and hardware repairs
- Support third-party vendors and contractors during service visits
- Accurately document inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs in work order systems
- Track inventory of tools, supplies, and replacement parts
- Identify and recommend improvements to maintenance processes, safety practices, and facility performance
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper PPE usage and lockout/tagout procedures
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
- Maintain clear and professional communication with team members and leadership
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1–2 years of facilities or maintenance experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Ability to perform hands-on maintenance and repair tasks
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
