Part-Time Medical Assistant
Internal Medicine / Primary Care / Diabetes & Weight Loss
Location: Grosse Pointe, Michigan
Schedule: Part-time; Wednesdays and Thursdays, with possible Mondays
Our growing internal medicine and primary care practice is seeking a detail-oriented, compassionate Part-Time Medical Assistant to join our team. We are a patient-centered practice with a special emphasis on diabetes care, preventive care, and medical weight loss, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in excellent patient service, strong clinical skills, and accurate documentation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a medical assistant who enjoys working in a professional, collaborative office and values both high-quality innovative patient care and attention to detail.
What you will do
  • Room patients and prepare them for visits
  • Obtain and document vital signs, histories, and medication updates
  • Assist with chart preparation and clinical workflow in Epic EMR
  • Support providers with preventive care, chronic disease follow-up, and patient education
  • Help coordinate and scan labs, referrals, forms, prior authorizations, and follow-up tasks
  • Assist with diabetes and weight-loss workflow support
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and help keep office flow efficient
  • Communicate professionally with patients, insurances and staff
What we are looking for
  • Medical Assistant experience in a physician office preferred
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail
  • Professional, dependable, and patient-friendly demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy outpatient setting
  • Interest in primary care, chronic disease management, diabetes, and weight-loss care
  • Team player who is willing to learn and contribute to a positive office culture
