Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Shop Hand to support daily operations in our welding repair shop. This role is essential to maintaining an efficient, organized, and safe work environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a hands-on industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist welders and fabricators with setup and cleanup of work areas
• Operate basic shop tools and equipment (grinders, drills, saws, etc.)
• Load and unload materials, parts, and equipment
• Clean, organize, and maintain shop tools and workspace
• Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks as directed
• Follow all safety procedures and shop protocols
• Assist with inventory management and material handling
• Run occasional errands or pick up supplies as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous shop, construction, welding or mechanical experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
• Basic knowledge of tools and willingness to learn welding environment practices
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

Working Conditions

• Industrial shop environment with exposure to heat, noise, and metal materials
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods
