Part-Time Child Care Teacher / Assistant Group Supervisor

Circle of Friends Childcare Center is looking for a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team as a Part-Time Teacher / Assistant Group Supervisor. We pride ourselves on providing a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment where children can learn and grow.

Position Overview

As an Assistant Group Supervisor, you will work closely with our lead teachers to implement daily activities, supervise children, and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere. This is an ideal role for someone passionate about early childhood education who enjoys a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the group at all times.
• Instruction: Assist in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Classroom Management: Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment.
• Communication: Maintain professional and friendly communication with parents regarding their child’s daily progress.
• Compliance: Adhere to all state childcare regulations and center policies.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: A minimum of 2,500 hours of documented experience working with children OR a combination of education (credits in early childhood education or a related field) and experience.
• Clearances: Must be able to obtain or provide current PA Child Abuse, PA State Police Criminal Record, and FBI Fingerprint clearances.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine love for working with children.
