Overview

Utility Sales & Service is a rapidly growing truck equipment upfitter and service provider of custom-made trucks located in Appleton, WI. Our equipment is used to build and service our nation’s infrastructure. We are seeking a 1st Shift Truck Upfitter.

Truck Upfitter will be fully trained to perform the following duties:

  • To work as part of team building custom trucks.
  • Follow product bill of materials, drawings, written instructions, pictures, and quality control documents to build trucks.
  • Installation of major components including bodies, aerial & digger devices, winches, etc.
  • Assembly and testing of truck mounted equipment and hydraulic systems.
  • Fit and assemble prefabricated and purchased components to the truck.
  • Utilize various hand and power tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes to perform job functions.
  • Perform testing of trucks and truck mounted equipment as required.

Qualifications for Truck Upfitter:

  • Demonstrated mechanical assembly skills, specifically building large mobile equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience assembling, testing and diagnosing hydraulic systems, preferably on mobile equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand hydraulic schematics, electrical schematics, layout drawings, 3D models, and interpreting photos.
  • The ability to work 50ft in the air on aerial equipment.
  • Is self-motivated and able to work in a team environment.
  • Must also be able to bend, twist and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Must supply a personal set of basic tools or have the ability to acquire. Company guidance on tools required will be provided.

Truck Upfitter Hours: First shift, Monday - Friday with overtime available.
