We are seeking a proactive Medical Biller to join our client's high-volume practice in Levittown, NY. salary: $25 - $30 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

Accurately assign and review ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes specific procedures, including audiology testing, sinus surgeries, and allergy treatments

Prepare and submit clean electronic and paper claims to primary and secondary commercial insurance carriers as well as Medicare/Medicaid

Manage the full lifecycle of patient accounts, from initial charge entry to final payment posting and reconciliation

Investigate rejected or denied claims, identify root causes for failures and develop resolution action plans to secure payment

Verify patient insurance eligibility and secure necessary pre-authorizations for specialized surgeries and in-office procedures

Act as a liaison for patients regarding billing inquiries, explaining EOBs and establishing payment plans for high-balance accounts

Consistently monitor Accounts Receivable aging reports and conduct proactive outreach to insurance adjusters and patients to resolve outstanding balances

Accurately post patient co-pays, deductibles, and insurance remits into the practice management system with 100% data integrity

Generate weekly and monthly financial reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics such as collection rates and denial trends
