We have a seasonal role based in Canterbury in the rural sector. This role will start in August each year and finish in April. The role could include but is not limited to:- * Harvest of seasonal vegetables and cartage to storage or factory for processing. * Application of fertiliser and moving raw milk product to factory. * Driving trucks and tractors in an off-road and agricultural environment, as well as on highway when needed. * Tractor and loader work on farm. * Harvest of primary product is often a 24-hour business so ability to work night shifts is necessary. * Travel throughout New Zealand may be required so you must be prepared to work away from home at times and you need to be flexible. * Hourly rate $31.60 - $35.00. * Days of work will be Monday to Sunday when required. Roster will be 5 days on/2 days off. Weekend and night work will be required. * A minimum of 40 hours per week will be guaranteed. Hours of work will be Day Shift 6am – 6pm, Night Shift 6pm – 6am (start and finish times may vary due to the customer’s requirements). * You need to have great attention to detail and look after your equipment. * Most importantly, you must be a team player. Necessary Key Attributes & Responsibilities:- * The ability to operate agricultural equipment with minimal supervision. * Must be able to keep records of work via digital applications. * You will need a minimum of 2 years’ experience with Class 5 or equivalent and preferably experience with loaders and harvest machinery. * Pre check trips and inspections. * Deliver products as required by customer-to-customer specifications. * Cleaning of equipment. * Work in a safe manner. * Be able to abide by drug and alcohol policy. * To operate as a professional multi-disciplined driver within the Dynes Group of companies. * Become proficient and familiar with the operation of vehicles required to be driven and/or operated, and to undertake and participate in any training to operate safely and proficiently. * Undertake and be responsible for the care of any plant, equipment or vehicle during the drivers shift that is associated with the drivers’ duties. * Be willing to gain experience in other work divisions to broaden your skill level. * Meet the Dynes Group objectives for quality service to all customers and the company values. * Operate in a safe manner in accordance with all Dynes Group policies and “Stand in the Gap” and raise issues where safety could be compromised. * Key Tasks: - Loading Customer’s Products - Travelling to delivery destinations - Unloading Customer’s Products A pre-employment driving assessment, medical and drug and alcohol test will be required.
