Cambridge Steel Fabricators & Engineers are looking for a keen, reliable, and physically fit person to join our Workshop team at our Cambridge based workshop. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Fabricator works in a team responsible for efficiently fabricating and welding on a variety of commercial, industrial and residential projects from our Hub in Cambridge. To be successful in this role you must: * Have a National Certificate in Fabrication (L4) or higher and at least 3 years’ experience in structural steel fabrication. * Have a proven record in demonstrating Safe work practices and be qualified or willing to qualify in use of Overhead Gantry Crane and OSH Forklift * Have a proven ability to read and interpret shop drawings To be selected for this role you must be eligible to work in New Zealand and you must be able to pass a pre-employment medical check. Key Tasks: * To read and understand shop drawings and work instructions * Fabricate beams, columns, frames, brackets and assemblies to tolerance * Undertake inspections at control points within the fabrication process as per Company Quality Management System * To investigate the cause of non-conformance[s] of work and material What We’re Looking For: * Ability to read and interpret shop drawings * Physically Fit * Honest and Reliable Work Ethic * Ability to Understand and Demonstrate Safe Work Practices * Ability to Work Independently and Competently * Forklift Licence Preferred Hours of Work Full Time, Permanent Role.
