Operations Management - Manage day-to-day venue operations, including staffing, scheduling, and event bookings - Co-ordinate Event bookings and marketing and on the ground operations - Oversee bar and event operations and maintenance of creative spaces - Ensure smooth delivery of events, workshops, and exhibitions - Implement and be the point of contact for event booking system - Implement POS operational systems and create efficiency for alcohol sales - Manage arts organisations memberships - Manage budgets, inventory, and supplier relationships Marketing & Growth - Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase bookings, attendance, and venue visibility - Promote events and initiatives across social media, email, and local channels - Build partnerships with local creatives, corporate events, and community organisations - Advise on audience engagement, branding, and revenue-generating opportunities About The Exchange XCHC (Exchange Christchurch) is a creative arts hub and community‑focused venue in Christchurch that supports artists, makers, creatives and cultural projects. It operates as a purpose‑driven space where creative practitioners can develop their skills, share their work, build networks, and connect with audiences. At its core, XCHC aims to cultivate a “creative ecology”, a supportive environment where creative people can work, collaborate, experiment and grow both creatively and commercially. We run music events, exhibitions and avant garde art performances and have a fully functioning bar onsite. In addition we host regular artist members who frequent the location and create artwork and commercial creative projects in a collaborative setting.
