Duties

  • Equipment Operation: Skillfully operate a variety of machinery including Backhoes, Skid Steers, Excavators, and Rollers for tasks such as grading, digging, pool excavation, and land clearing.
  • Trucking & Transport: Safely operate Dump Trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles to transport materials, requiring a valid Class A or B CDL.
  • Site Preparation & Utilities: Support projects from start to finish, including stumping, grubbing, trenching for utilities, and installing French drains or catch basins.
  • Manual Labor: Actively assist with on-the-ground tasks including hand digging, pipe attachment, potholing, and debris removal to ensure project success.
  • Equipment Care: Conduct routine inspections and perform light maintenance (greasing, fluid checks, and cleaning) to ensure all machinery remains in optimal, safe working condition.
  • Agricultural Support: Assist with pasture maintenance, field mowing, and seeding for our equestrian and farming clients.
  • Safety & Teamwork: Follow all safety protocols diligently and collaborate closely with the crew to execute tasks efficiently and meet project timelines.

Experience

  • Experience
  • Machinery Expertise: Proven experience operating heavy equipment, specifically Backhoes, Excavators, and Skid Steers, with the ability to manage site preparation and finishing touches.
  • Commercial Driving: Must possess a valid Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record and experience operating heavy-duty trucks.
  • Mechanical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with light maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Physical Readiness: Demonstrated ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions, including pipe work and manual excavation.
  • Agricultural Background: Farm or agriculture experience is highly preferred and considered a major benefit for our land management projects.
  • Local Licensing: Must have a valid PA Driver’s License.
  • Professionalism: A strong work ethic and the ability to represent a family-owned business with integrity and clear communication.
