Schedule: Morning, Day, Evening, Overnight, Weekends, PRN

Job Summary:

The Caregiver/Personal Assistant will provide essential non-medical care and companionship to our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a compassionate individual who is attentive, reliable, and capable of working independently. The Caregiver/Personal Assistant must be flexible with their schedule, as this position includes mid-day, overnight, and weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Companionship: Provide friendly and supportive companionship to clients, engaging in conversation and activities.
  • Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Mobility Support: Help clients with mobility, including transfers, walking, and exercising.
  • Medication Reminders: Ensure clients take their medications on time and as prescribed.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
  • Errands and Transportation: Assist clients with errands, shopping, and transportation to appointments.
  • Safety Monitoring: Monitor clients' safety and well-being, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided, including activities, observations, and any changes in clients' conditions.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the homecare team to ensure coordinated care.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a caregiving role preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
  • Background Check: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Test: Must show proof of valid TB test, or be willing to complete a TB test
  • Availability: Must be willing to work mid-day, overnight, and weekend shifts.
  • Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
  • Ability to follow care plans and instructions.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring clients.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification preferred, but not required.
