An established law firm in New York City seeks an Attorney with 5+ years of experience in trust and estate planning & administration. This role offers an opportunity to work on a diverse range of sophisticated trust and estate matters while collaborating with a highly experienced team.

Who You Are:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the New York State Bar
  • 5+ years of experience in Trust & Estates law, with a focus on estate planning, administration, and probate litigation
  • Experience in planning and drafting wills, revocable, irrevocable trusts, along with a basic understanding of gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer taxes
  • Strong knowledge of New York Trusts & Estates laws and procedures
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

What You Will Be Doing?

  • Assist in the preparation of wills, trusts, and related estate planning documents
  • Advise clients on estate and tax planning strategies
  • Represent clients in probate and trust administration matters
  • Prepare and file court documents for probate and estate administration
  • Handle trust and estate litigation, including contested probate matters
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex trust and estate issues
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop tailored estate plans
  • Manage client relationships and work independently while also working as part of a team
