Position Details

The Board of Education for Clintondale Community Schools is conducting a search for its next Superintendent. The expected start date for the new Superintendent is July 1, 2026.

Clintondale Community Schools is located in a diverse and supportive community in Clinton Township, Michigan, northeast of Detroit. The District serves 1,655 students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, housed in four buildings, all within one square mile of each other:

With 190 employees, including 99 teachers and 17 administrators, Clintondale Community Schools is not just a school district, it is a family. The District also partners with local colleges and universities, including Wayne State University and Macomb Community College, to provide opportunities that help prepare our students for today’s workforce.

The District’s annual operating budget is approximately $30,000,000 and the Foundation Grant per pupil is $10,050, with a General Fund balance projected to be $3,832,956 on June 30, 2026.

Job Summary

Clintondale Community Schools is seeking an innovative and inspirational leader. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and extensive K-12 experience with a passion to serve our school community. The Superintendent will work with the Board of Education to execute and enhance the vision of the strategic plan.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Educational administration experience, preferred
  • Master’s degree in related field; advanced degree preferred (e.g., Ed.S, Ed.D., Ph.D.)
  • Successful experience working with diverse, urban communities
  • Proven track record of raising student achievement
  • Demonstrated responsiveness to students with learning disabilities
  • Michigan Administrative Certificate or equivalent, or the ability to obtain an Administrative Permit

The Board may make exceptions to these qualifications.

Salary and Benefits

The Board of Education will offer a comprehensive, multi-year contract. Compensation will be commensurate with experience of the successful candidate and requirements of the position.
