Overview:
The purpose of this position is to provide an opportunity to learn about Kentucky Eagle’s portfolio, customer’s, the sales and delivery processes to prepare for a transition to a sales role. The ideal candidate for this position must reside in or around the Louisville area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Learn about our suppliers and their brands.
- Learn how to utilize data analytics to be a resource for our customers and identify selling opportunities.
- Learn the sales cycle including using the on-line portal and submitting orders.
- Travel in local market with Sales Representatives and Sales Management.
- Drive to various accounts on route on a regular basis.
- Learn how to competitively present and position our brands in the market.
- Assist with merchandising and point of sale placement.
- Provide sales support for open territories through account visits.
- Identify selling opportunities during account visits.
- Record and monitor inventory at accounts.
- Review sales performance with management compared to sales targets.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- College degree preferred.
- Desire to start a career in Sales.
- 1+ years of B2B customer service experience.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License in good standing with a driving record acceptable to Kentucky Eagle’s insurance carrier.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good time management skills.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, squat, bend, twist and repetitively lift 35lbs.
