JOB
The Community Health Data Specialist provides technical and analytical support work related to the operation of the Community Health Unit including providing comprehensive and accurate data analysis, expertise and knowledge of data acquisition applications, timely review of case files, running required daily, weekly and yearly reports, and creating mental health bulletins in support of Patrol and the Unit. Works in partnership with the Department's Crime Analyst, Community Health Detective, Alternative Response Teams, Co-Response Team and embedded social workers to determine data-driven objectives and outcomes.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Manages and records a daily review of mental health related case referrals and run DAM reports for mental health cases.Reviews importation of cases into Access and other databases in order to code referrals by priority.Assists in the update of existing or creation of new mental health bulletins.Serves as the interface with Crime Analyst, CHU Detective, and social workers.Manages ART and Co-Response data collection, analysis, dissemination and tracking.Completes threat assessments of referrals through analysis and coding and upload data into PowerBI.Collects intelligence gathering and research, creation of forms, and other duties as needed.Identifies, analyzes, investigates and resolves issues regarding mental health. Identifies, analyzes and resolves community issues proactively in regard to mental health.Maintains accurate databases and programs to measure performance and effectiveness. Keeps clear and concise notes in inspection software.Completes intel gathering and dissemination for in-progress calls.Creates and updates resource cards and other subject-driven informational packets.Assists with presenting and training officers on mental health topics.Works closely with the Department Crime Analyst and the Community Intervention Unit Analyst.Performs the duties of the Department Crime Analyst in their absence.Performs other duties as assigned.
