Job DescriptionThe Administrative Assistant of Nursing-Cedar Bluff shall assist the Dean, Program Chairs and Directors, and Nursing Faculty/Staff in the Caylor School of Nursing (CSON). The Administrative Assistant shall also manage the office of the Caylor School of Nursing-Cedar Bluff extended site in the day-to-day operation and communication requirements and assist the Office of Academic Affairs and others as needed.Required Qualifications*associates degree,Preferred Qualifications*bachelors degree; and *experience in a comparable/complex office situation.Campus: Cedar Bluff

- promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students;
- design necessary forms for effective operation of the School;
- assist the Dean, Program Chairs , and Nursing Faculty/Staff as necessary;
- assist with the preparation of Nursing Accreditation and Outcomes Assessment reports;
- assist the Dean, Program Chairs and Directors, and Nursing Faculty/Staff in specifics that will further the desired outcomes for all the areas within the school;
- assist with establishing effective office organizational and management procedures in accordance with University policies;
- supervise student workers;
- create and help with the printing (compilation and layout) of publications (brochures for recruiting, nursing handbooks, etc.);
- assist in the preparation of CSON catalogs for annual publishing as necessary;
- collect course syllabi and workloads (electronically) each semester;
- maintain and assist with the completion of student application files;
- store and maintain student files in an appropriate and confidential manner;
- assist students in day-to-day matters;
- collect periodically updated and newly hired faculty vitas;
- assist Dean/Chairs/Directors with preparing reports in a timely manner;
- maintain strict confidentiality regarding University matters;
- completion of required institutional, program accreditation and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of University programs, both on campus and at extended campus sites; and
- perform other duties as assigned
