Behavioral Health Technician

Job Description

Help children build independence and reach their full potential! We are looking for patient, dedicated individuals to work one-on-one with children in their homes, teaching essential life skills through positive reinforcement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Skill Building: Teach everyday skills (communication, dressing, sharing, and school tasks) by breaking them into manageable steps.
  • Behavior Support: Implement plans to reduce challenging behaviors like hitting or tantrums using praise and rewards.
  • Documentation: Maintain brief, clear notes on progress and follow structured plans designed by a supervisor.
  • Parent Coaching: Empower families by demonstrating effective strategies to use at home.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma required (Training/Certification in behavior support is a plus).
  • Qualities: Calm, patient, and highly comfortable working with children.
  • Communication: Strong ability to follow instructions and write simple progress reports.
  • Background: Must be able to pass a background check.

Schedule & Location

  • Setting: In-home service.
  • Availability: Flexible scheduling; may include weekdays, evenings, or weekends.
